What should the year be on a Science Based Calendar?

Should it start with:

1. The Big Bang?   13,000,000,000 to 15,000,000,000  years ago (kinda long)

2. The Age of the Earth - approximately 4,500,000,000 years ago - hmmmmmmm

3. The beginning of life - approximately 3,500,000,000 years ago

4, The birth of the human species sounds good, so when was it?

195,000 Years Ago

University of Utah dean of mines Geologist Frank Brown is shown here crouching on Ethiopia’s Kibish rock formation.   On this site Brown and colleagues identified fossilized bones of Homo Sapiens that were determined to be 195,000 years old.   In 2005  these were the oldest fossils of the our species ever found!

Most everything we believe came from the system we were born into.  We weren’t admonished to start from scratch and given a system and tools to arrive in our own belief system.  Ask yourself - Are you afraid of what you’d come with if you objectively examined and integrated all of your beliefs?
